The young people’s orchestra, formed seven years ago and continues to give young musicians an opportunity to take part in worship during family services. It is an inspiration to see how their musicianship and confidence develop over the years.

Already some one hundred and forty arrangements of the more popular hymns and songs are now to be found in the orchestra library, with each player being encouraged to look after their own music. Preparing hymn tunes for individual players in an orchestra takes time, because not all tunes are easy to arrange for orchestral accompaniment.

We are proud to have such committed young musicians willing to give time and talents to serve the church, and we must do all in our power to encourage and nurture them in their music making.
