Chester-le-Street Methodist Church

The Drama Group was formed some 25 years ago, initially to provide drama in worship,  and each year we perform a ‘Passion Play’ at Easter as well as contributing to Sunday worship when required.  Over the years we have produced numerous three act plays ranging from comedy and domestic dramas to tragedy, thrillers and murder mysteries.  We have also been known to make fools of ourselves at our yearly ‘at home’ where we produce sketches, monologues and songs which are always well received.

You don’t necessarily have to ‘tread the boards’ to belong to our group.  Help behind the scenes will be most welcome - costumes, scenery, even making the tea!
