Local fund raising, together with donations and legacies etc, has produced about £230k in the past 2-3 years and an appointed fund raising team continues to be actively engaged with various fund raising activities. 

 Included in the future fund-raising programme is:

 2008

• 14^th December – Christmas Family Lunch

• 1^st & 3^rd Thursday of each month – Chapel lunches

 2009

• 16th January – Trad Jazz Night with live music at Chester-le-Street Golf Club

• 7^th February – a Concert by Pelton Roseberry Youth Theatre

• 11^th March – A Century of Wedding Gowns – a modelled fashion display

 Grant Funding Bodies

Whilst we have been very successful with our local fund raising it was always accepted that a major source of funding would be from Grant Funding Bodies. In addition to grants received from the National Lottery, other major grants (those in excess of £1000.00) awarded to date can be summarised as follows: -

Two Sub-Groups have been established to concentrate efforts into specific areas of funding, a Large Grants Group and a Small Grants Group. Significant contributions are also made by other members of the Steering Group in relation to these and other bids, usually when specialist knowledge is required.
