The banner group meet periodically to design and create banners for various occasions within the life of the Church and the Church calendar.

If ever you are at a loose end on a Tuesday afternoon between 1.30 and 3.30 p.m., why not pop along to the meeting room at Church. You will find a group of people having fellowship. They chat together about this and that, look at each other's holiday photographs, have the inevitable cup of tea - and then, somewhere along the line a new banner is created.

From start to finish the banner is a group activity. A basic design is decided upon, colour of the background is discussed, fabrics to be used, which parts to change, how to enhance a particular area - everything is decided together.

Some Tuesdays there will be six of us there, another time only two. Some stay for the whole 2 hours, others for part of the time. In other words it is not a huge weekly commitment of your time.

We have several ideas for future sessions so why not come along. You'll enjoy the fellowship, but more than that, you'll be part of the banners of the future.
