The
James Etherington Musical Award
James Etherington was a well
known Tenor who died in 1948.
The event is open to promising
young musicians living in the DH, Durham County postal areas, who wish to
further their training in singing or the playing of musical instruments,
are invited to apply for the above-named award.
A 1st
prize of £300 as well as a
silver trophy, will be presented to the winning performer at a competition
to be held on the evening of Saturday, 30th April 2011, in the
Methodist Church, Chester-le-Street.
In addition, there will be a prize of £150
for the runner-up. An award will be made to the other participants.
